We look over Instagram looking for the best 5 spaces to get together, make some new friends, enjoy a cup of tea and learn something new about craft.
1 THE SEWING BOX CLUB
It isn’t a concrete place. It’s a club that you can create wherever you are. Do you own a craft shop? Do you have a friend’s learning group and do you meet once a week? Maybe you could be interested in taking part of The Sewing Box Club. You could get many benefits, discounts, publications and materials! You can ask for further info at email@example.com
2 FEDERICA AND CO.
Sense and sensitivity, gastronomy and decoration, but, above all, all peace! Some months ago, the new Federica and Co opened its doors in a farm with a house, fruit trees and gardens in Novales (Cantabria). This so special Bed&Breakfast in which you can attend cooking lessons, organize dinners for a few dinners or just buy decorative pieces, will give you the opportunity to breathe deeply. A place to be happy!
Capman sisters organized events and workshops in places that she thinks they could be interesting. One day, they found the first place to stop being nomadic! It was located behind the facade of Rue Deguerry’s local (Paris). That was the beginning of Klin D’oeil, a sales, exhibitions and DIY workshops space whose decoration wouldn’t leave you untouched!
Jordan Ferney released this well-known web of ideas for parties and DIY in 2006. 11 years have gone by and she has not only strengthened in the field, but also has a full online shop of materials. They’ve just moved and decorated one the most beautiful creative spaces that we’ve ever seen! (You can find here her story)
In the street of Calle Adriano (Seville) you’ll find this new space dedicated specially to sewing. Cose Conmigo (that means “Sew with Me” in Spanish) is run by Begoña and her intention is that both children and adults learn to use a sewing machine and to create their own clothing. Picnic included!
